Summer Music School (SMS '20) will run every weekday from 8:00am to 1:00pm . Dates are TBD.
SMS is sponsored by the Edmonds School District’s Visual and Performing Arts Department. This exciting program offers a diverse mix of music performance and exploratory opportunities for students entering 6th through 12th grade. (One year of instrumental experience in Band or Orchestra is required.) Our faculty of professional educators and musicians maintain a positive atmosphere that promotes student growth while supporting their self-confidence and personal pride.
Students outside of the Edmonds School district are also welcome but will have to register via USPS. See registration and payment information below.

Registration and Payment Information
Tuition is $350.00 per student and includes all courses, music, transportation to a field trip and a camp t-shirt. The registration deadline is TBD.

Financial Assistance
Limited financial assistance is available through most schools. Please check with your music teacher or school parent group. The deadline for applying for financial assistance is June 25, 2019.
Concert Band & Orchestra
These core performance groups are designed to offer students a daily experience in their major performing ensemble (band or orchestra). Core groups will rehearse and perform a variety of music at all levels.
ChoirsAll students participate in Concert Choir and have elective opportunities in Vocal Ensembles, Musical Theater, and Jazz Choir. In each group, students gain experience in vocal production and performance skills.
Small Ensemble Electives
Each student selects a focus Ensemble Elective (Jazz Band, Jazz Choir or Instrumental Ensemble) for his or her daily schedule. These groups offer opportunities for learning and performance in a small ensemble context.
Exploratory Electives
Fun and interesting electives are designed for students to try something new! Here are some of the classes that have been offered in the past:

March in a Parade
All students will have the opportunity to march in the Edmonds 4
th of July Parade. Students will learn a marching band song or learn to do a flag routine. This is a wonderful and fun event for the whole family. NO regular classes are held on July 4th.
Transportation is NOT provided to/from the parade.
