Meet our Family Pre-K Facilitators

 

Pam GerkePam Gerke has been teaching children for over thirty years as an arts educator, specializing in drama and music, and has published several books in this field. She received her B.A. English from the University of California, her teaching certificate from Pacific Oaks College, and her A.A. in Early Childhood Education from Everett Community College. She is also a choral conductor, composer and playwright and is currently producing her original musical about Florence Nightingale.


Talia SpeerTalia Speer has been working with youth and families for over 10 years. She received her Bachelors in Applied Behavioral Science from Seattle Central College and has worked with youth in many capacities ranging from classroom teaching to youth and family counseling. She is passionate about fostering healthy and happy environments for children to grow, explore, and play. In her free time, Talia enjoys being outside with her family, hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling.   


Tawny Tawny Richard has been working with preschool students since she was a student at the University of Washington studying Early Childhood and Family Studies. After receiving her Master's in Teaching, she taught kindergarten and first grade in Highline School district. She left the classroom for a few years to spend time with her young children. She is very excited to be joining the Family Pre-K program, which brings together her passion for teaching preschool students and supporting kindergarten readiness. In her free time, she enjoys adventures with her family, photograph and crafting.
