Pandemic EBT 2.0: 2020-2021 School Year

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) is back

Who qualifies? 

Families with students in Edmonds School District K-12th grade who qualify for Free or Reduced meal benefits during the 2020-21 school year will receive meal benefits from the Federal Food and Drug Administration through the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.  

What do I do?

The benefits will be sent to families who are eligible via mail this March. If you have moved in the last two years please call your school to update your mailing address. You will need to provide proof of where you live, such as a utility bill or other documentation.

The Agency in charge of Pandemic EBPT is DSHS, no school district Employee can see where their card is or what happened to is only the agency they hired by DSHS can see or do anything. Edmonds School Districts, Food and Nutrition Department is only uploading information from families applied and qualified for Free/Reduced Meals program.

  • When will my card be sent? 
    • We are not sure as we do not issue cards, please call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282 with questions.
  • What if I haven't seen my card?
    • We are not sure as we do not issue cards, please call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282 with questions.
  • What if my address the school has if not the address I am living at?
    • You MUST update your address in our system using the normal procedures with your building's office manager
      • This will including providing proof of where you live like water bill, etc. 
      • In our next upload, the agency will be alerted and send the card if it was returned to them after their initial mailing
        • This takes time and only ones who can answer where they are in the process is P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282 with questions.
  • What if I think I have qualified but have not completed a 2020-2021 Free/Reduced meals application, will I still get PEBT?
    • No, the Federal government is only issuing Pandemic EBT cards to families who qualify for free/reduced meals program 
  • Can I still apply if I think I qualify and receive pandemic EBT?
    • Yes, but you MUST complete a 2020-2021 Free/Reduced meals application, and submit it to your school then you will be notified if you qualify by our Food and Nutrition Department 
      • If you qualify then in our next upload, the agency will be alerted and send out your PEBT card.
        •  This takes time and only ones who can answer where they are in the process is P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282 with questions.
