Stage 4 (7th-12th grade) - HYBRID MODEL

For Stage 4, 7th-12th grade teachers will teach hybrid in-person students and remote/fully remote students concurrently via Zoom by operating on an hybrid model. In this model, students who choose in-person attend class on campus two days each week. Students who choose to remain fully remote, as well as the hybrid in-person students on their remote days, will all Zoom into their classes.

What days will my student attend in-person classes?

Group A (last name begins with A through Le)

  •  In-person Mondays/Thursdays
  • Live, virtual instruction Tuesdays/Fridays
  • Independent learning Wednesdays

Group B (last name begins with Lea through Z)

Why did the district decide on this model for secondary students?

This hybrid model avoids reshuffling student and staff schedules. Buildings will continue with their current master schedule, and for the most part students will keep their current teachers. There is a possibility that some individual student schedules need to change due to cohort imbalance or class size. Teachers who have requested a remote assignment for medical reasons, will continue to teach remotely with the in-person students supervised by building staff.

    • All Stage 4 students will have independent learning assignments (asynchronous) to allow time for teachers to set up their classrooms and prepare for the transition.

    • Hybrid/fully remote model begins for all 7th-12th grade students
