Association of Washington Student Leadership

Association of Washington Student Leaders (AWSL), serves more than 12,000 Washington students and advisers annually through a variety of programs.  Association of Washington Student Leaders offers a variety of training opportunities: camps, retreats, conferences, publications and workshops.  AWSL offers Latinx Leadership programs for middle level and high school students.  

Teen Action Fair

The Teen Action Fair was created to allow teens to connect with organizations that make a difference in their local and global communities through volunteering, art, social justice campaigns and more.


Latino Community Fund of Washington - Alianza

Alianza Youth Leadership Program is a young-led movement of collective voices connecting leaders to unlock their leadership potential and bring change to their communities.  Through community organizing and training, Alianza aims to build the leadership of Latinx youth by providing them with a platform and resources to do so.  If you are between the ages of 16-25 years, we want you!

Latino Educational Training Institute

Latino Leadership Initiative is a program of Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI) that inspires students to better themselves and their communities.  Tour the site to see how you can participate and help.

Rite of Passage Journeys - Youth

Rite of Passage Journeys, established is 1968, fosters self-discovery, community belonging, and connection with the natural world.  Through contemporary rite of passage experiences and education, we mentor youth, adults and elders through life transitions, initiating soulful leaders for the next generation.  

Latino/a Education Achievement Project - LEAP

The Latino/a Educational Achievement Project (LEAP) is a statewide effort to improve academic achievement of Latino students in Washington state.  Current activities include an annual conference, student leadership and service-learning program and advocacy training.  

In 2011, a student leadership and service-learning program known as the Peer leaders and Ambassadors, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, was developed to involve students in college awareness and readiness activities, leadership, civic engagement, and community service.  

Storytellers for Change - #what-we-do

Since 2010, Storytellers for Change has worked with thousands of youth, educators and social impact leaders from across the world to harness the power of narratives to create positive social change.  We are committed to practicing radical empathy, inspiring through storytelling, training the next generation of storytellers for change, and building an emphatic, inclusive, and equitable world.
